This weeks pictures

How is that you can be so busy, but not really recall what you have done? That has been our month so far.

Here are a few pictures of the past week.

Every baby needs a messy face picture.

I love this little girl!

Dallin's version of a BBQ.

When we were at the zoo, Dallin asked to see 2 things: alligators and rhinos.

Out of all the animals, Tylie liked the monkeys and the giraffes the best.

Is it me, or are these things still creepy even when they are at the zoo?
(alligators, not my kids!!!!)

It was ice block day at the zoo. The animals got ice blocks with fruit in them, and the kids got to find treasure in a huge thing of ice.

Our stake had a Green Jell-o Festival (yes, you read it correctly.) Dallin wanted to be in the Dunk Tank.

Kailee decided to play in the bouncers instead.

All tuckered out from the week.

This is the Place

Saturday was a fun busy day. It was nonstop, but the best part of the day was going to This is the Place Heritage Park. Its a fun place to go when you feeling like visiting history. Its a little village that has the actual houses and buildings that are part of pioneer history. Everyone dresses and acts like pioneers, the music is from back then, and the entire experience is like you are a pioneer. Of course when I went to take pictures, my battery was dead. I used my phone to take these, so they aren't the greatest quality, but at least we have them to remember the fun we had.
The train ride around the village.
Dallin helped wash the clothes...
And Kailee helped water the plants.
We got to see how the pioneers made their wool blankets. This is the step were they make wool into "wool yarn".
The barber gave Dallin a close shave with a real straight edge and rum as after shave.
The kids were waiting all day long for the little train ride. Dallin even got to help the conductor give the rules.
Gus, Dallin, Kailee, and Tylie playing in the Teepee.
D and K at the old school house getting ready for the session to start.
Funny story: We walked into the Inn and they treated us like we were guests back in the day. When we walked into the parlor, the hostess told us that if we were to live there, Kailee would do all the house chores and Dallin would do all the outside chores. At night, the kids would be in charge of entertaining the guests. The kids were excited about it. Then when she told them that Kailee would sleep in the room (smaller than their bedroom now) with all the girls and Dallin would sleep in the barn, Dallin looked at me with the "Mom don't make me stay here PLEEEEEEEEEASE" expression. The boy had fear in his eyes. We told him it was pretend and then he got into it. When we went outside and saw the barn, he asked me to take a picture of him by his bed. I love that kid.

Overall, it was a great experience to see our kids enjoy history. We didn't get to do everything, so we will have to go back.

Skateboarding

If you know Dallin, you know that the kid is obsessed with Tony Hawk. If I pick out his clothes for the day, the first thing out of his mouth is "Is that a Tony Hawk shirt?" He also tells me he wants to be a skater like Tony Hawk when he grows up. I have no idea where the infatuation came from. He asked Santa for his first skateboard 2 years ago. Since summer has started, he gets dressed, eats and asks to go outside to ride his skateboard or do tricks on his bike. I took pictures of him riding his skateboard and compared them to the first time he got on one. 1st thing I noticed was that he is so much bigger! You don't realize how big your baby has gotten till you look at older pictures. 2nd thing, he knows how to put his helmet on right now! 3rd thing, he goes downhill with full confidence and doesn't (well, hardly ever) falls anymore. How did he grow up so fast, and how in the world did he become obsessed with Tony Hawk?

4th of July Weekend

Thursday
My friend, Jenn, and I took the kids to get all the decorations they were going to need for their bikes, scooters, strollers and helmets. After a LONG time of shopping (when you have 5 crazy fun kids, it seems longer than it really is) we came back to the house to eat pizza and decorate our things.

Getting ready for the parade with our friends, the Walls.

Friday
Our ward had a breakfast, parade, flag raising ceremony, and, of course, the candy cannon. After it was over we all got to take naps, yes you read it correctly. The first 4th of July in Zamora history, we got to take naps!!! As soon as we woke up, we headed over to the pool, then home to get ready for our BBQ with the Walls. We had our own fireworks, then watched a big firework show after. It was a fun day.

Dallin's bike

Kailee's stroller

D and K getting ready to start the Parade

Hailey and Dallin having fun

Kailee and Tylie swinging and laughing

These kids were so funny. Dallin really wanted to say the Pledge of Allegiance to the fruit pizza. Pretty random

Watching the firework show that the dads put on

A firework show isn't a firework show until we have people jumping over them...thanks for the entertainment, Nate!

Saturday
Saturday was a fun day too. We had a easy morning of errands and lunch, and all 3 kids took a NAP! 2 days in a row!!! After they woke up we all got ready to go to one of our nieces baptism. I love that we got to be there for her and that the kids got to play with their cousins. We then hurried home to get our dessert and fireworks to take to the Smith's. The kids had a lot of fun running around, eating sweets the ENTIRE time, and (somewhat) watching the fireworks. I think the dads had more fun lighting them. Thanks Challey and Spencer!!!

I am surprised that there is still dessert on this table with all the kids around it

A picture with some of the kids sitting...miracle!

Spouse Tag

I was tagged a couple weeks ago, and 2 reasons why I am doing it now: 1. our days have been mundane 2. it's a spouse tag and I really don't talk about Gus, so good opportunity, right?

1. His full name? Gustavo Antonio Zamora
2. How long have you been together? Married 6 1/2 years
3. How long did you date? With all details spared, 6 years
4. How old is he? 29
5. Who eats more? Food, Gus. Treats, me hands down
6. Who said "I Love You" first? Gus, but his wording was..."What would you do if I told you I loved you?" my response..."uhhhhhh" as the crickets made the rest of the noise.
7. Who is taller? Gus by at least 7 inches
8. Who sings better? Is that a joke? Gus!!!! Ask my 7 year old nephew, he'll agree 110%
9. Who is smarter?  I will claim this as "depends on the subject"
10. Who does the laundry? Me
11. Who pays the bills? He makes the money, I spend the money...I mean SEND
12. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Gus. Our friends have a theory that the mom sleeps closest to the door. So far they are right.
13. Who mows the lawn? HOA
14. Who cooks dinner? Restaurants, but when it is made in our house, me.
15. Who drives? Gus, but I really am the worst back seat driver, sorry babe. I do try to bite my tongue.
16. Who kissed whom first? LOL....it was St. Patrick's Day (friday) my senior year in high school. I ditched my last class to go see him. It was at 3:00pm, right after a show I was addicted to (you really don't want to know). I turned to say something and he kissed me. From then on, I was hooked!!!!! (Obviously, since I remember place, date, day, and TIME!!)
17. Who's more stubborn? Me. Gus and stubborn don't fit in the same sentence.
18. Who asked whom out first? Gus asked me. We saw Titanic (which he laughed at the entire time), then he left on his mission 1 1/2 weeks later. PS I was 15, so he asked my parents permission first. Cute huh?
19. Who proposed? Gus, even though I asked not to do anything until after I had my wisdom teeth pulled. He did...the NEXT night!
20. Who has more friends? Me.
21. Who is more sensitive? This is actually a tough one. He is sensitive to me and my issues. But overall...I am.
22. Who has more siblings?  We have the same. 4 kids in both families. 2 girls and 2 boys. We are both the youngest also.
23. Who wears the pants? LOL....I do, but I let Gus think he does (don't we all?)

Now that you know Gus a little better, there are still a couple things you need to know about him. Once you meet him, you automatically love the guy. He is easy to get along with, pretty chill, respectful, and playful. He and my kids adore each other.  He also is the biggest tease you will ever meet. Ask the girls from his Interior Design program he graduated with, and they will let you know that it never ends with the guy. (Though the week before graduation, a couple of them and I got him GOOD!!!) I am pretty darn lucky to be married to him. I couldn't have found a better man. I love you, Gus!!

Oh yeah, as for tagging? I won't mention names, so if you don't talk about your hubby (or wife) and if your days are as ours, what the heck huh?

Happy Birthday, Kailee!

Happy 4th Birthday, Kailee!
We Love You!

PS. Kailee is NOT adopted!! She gets her eyes, hair and skin coloring from my mom.
(Pictures of her birthday are the post under this one)

Birthday Girl

Yesterday, we had a Little Mermaid Party for Kailee's Birthday . Here are some pictures from this evening and the party.

We decorated the front door with a huge Ariel poster to surprise Kailee.

Hoping for an "under the sea" feel (Ty sat on the floor reaching for the fish that were hanging).

The best part? I asked Kailee what kind of cake she wanted and she said she wanted to decorate it, so I let all the girls decorate their own cupcakes.
Kailee's little girlfriends who came to the party.

This evening, Dallin and Kailee wanted to decorate cupcakes again. Love it!!

The best part of decorating a cake? Eating the frosting.

The best friends.

There really is a cupcake under all the frosting and sprinkles
