Twilight DVD Release Outing

Yes, I went to Walmart at midnight to get the Twilight DVD. Yes, I saw it already. And no, I am not obsessed (promise!). A few of my girlfriends and I got ready and left for the South Jordan Walmart a little before 11:00pm. After waiting in line for an hour, and after going through the SLOWEST cashier, we made it out alive. It really wasn't bad. One of our friends got sick, (so sorry Chaunda!!), so we sadly took her home. After dropping her off, we put the movie in the car dvd player and off we went to the Riverton Walmart, where it was rumored that a cast member was going to be there. Needless to say, we got there and sure enough someone WAS there...

If you look behind us, you can see the line. This part was the last 1/4 of it!! It wrapped almost around half of the store!

Posing with my dvd I was going to get autographed. The cast member's head is right above mine. And the cast member was...

Beautiful Bad Vampire Victoria (Rachelle Lefevre). She was even more gorgeous in person. We didn't get to take pictures with her, but they did let us take pictures of her signing our things.

Happily leaving the store, wired, with our autographed dvds. Thanks girlies for the fun night!!! (or should I say morning??)

O' the Luck of the Irish

Another St. Patrick's Day has come and gone, and we have yet to catch a leprechaun! Knowing that they like to play tricks, we decided to set a trap! The kids worked hard on the hat. They colored shamrock after shamrock. We were so very determined to catch a leprechaun this year!!

The finished product. We placed a green and gold cookie and a gold bell on top as bait. The top was just a piece of paper. The whole point was for the leprechaun to climb up the ladder and fall in!  We for sure thought it was going to work!!

We woke up and found lots of things the leprechaun did!! First thing we noticed was that he kissed all the kids on their brows. We knew we had a nice one this year, but also knew that wouldn't stop the tricks! He turned our toilet water green, our milk and drinking water green, we wrote on our eggs with green crayon...

...and every time I would make the kids something to eat, I would turn around for 2 seconds and he would turn all of the food green!! So we had to eat green eggs and ham with green milk for breakfast! For lunch, it was green food again!! We looked all over for him all day! The kids say they heard him laughing at us, but I didn't hear anything.

For dinner, we had to eat green food once more! We were all in the kitchen together, and some how, the leprechaun did it without anyone seeing!! He even was able to turn our caramel corn green while we were all sitting on the couch watching our leprechaun movie!! Those leprechauns sure are tricky!

While we were outside playing, he took our green and gold cookie AND our gold bell, without falling in! He did leave us a note thanking us for the fun he had. Maybe we can catch him next year!

O' tis fun bein' IRISH!

2 Down, 18 To Go...

Yesterday we had another wiggly tooth come out. Becky called me at work to tell me that Dallin's tooth was just about ready, and that they were going to try and make it the day without tooth falling out. First things when I got home, we started wiggling and working it out. The tooth was ready, it just needed that last little push (or pull). My fingers were a bit too big for D's little mouth, and the tooth was so small that I could barely get a grip on it. Becky was able to get a good grip on it and got it out! In the video below, you can hear Kailee in the background making sounds as if it were her tooth being pulled, and adding to D's emotions!

Afterwards, all was well. He walked around with a paper towel, dabbing the void in his gums for a while. Yet, still sat down and ate dinner, as if nothing had even happened!

Making Good Use of Santa's Gift
Just this past Christmas, we received a family membership to Thanksgiving Point from "Santa". The nice thing about it was that we didn't have to activate the membership until we were ready. And with Becky and the kids spending most of January down in LA, it was nice not loosing a month of it. Well, in the last few weeks we've been twice, and have really enjoyed it. The first time was on a holiday, when TONS of people were there. The second time was on a Friday night when it was COMPLETELY empty. We were able to let the kids roam (a.k.a. run) as they wanted, play, discover, and best of all-we didn't have to confine Tylie to a stroller (which meant Becky and I were actually able to hold hands while walked)! We all had a blast, and can't wait to go back.

Needless to say, the sand boxes (both wet and dry) are the biggest hit with the kids.

Tylie loved being free form the stroller, and played her heart out. With no other kids there, it was really nice to just let her have fun, and not have to worry about her getting lost in the crowds.

Kailee... don't know how many of you know, but we have the hardest time taking decent pictures of this little cutie. She either doesn't look at the camera, gives us this really fake smile, or both! That night, I kept asking her what made her happy, thinking it would produce at least ONE genuine smile; and nothing... IF she smiled, she was looking down at the sand and I couldn't take a picture of her. I had just about given up when she asked me, "Daddy-do you know what makes me happy?" Getting the camera ready, I said, "No, sweetie. What makes you happy?" She slowly raised her head and said, "Eating my boogers!" I couldn't help but take a picture of the oh-so-genuine smile that followed that remark. Hey, you do what you need to, to get a good picture of the kids.

Happy Birthday Becky!!!

Yes, I know it's been a while since we blogged... and to tell you the truth, so much has gone on that the thought of even trying to blog about the past two months has seemed so overwhelming... hence the drought of ZamFam updates. But we're back, hopefully for good.
Today is Becky's birthday. And, in my mind, what better day to start helping to carry the blogging load, then by posting something about my beautiful wife. Seeing how's she's now 27, I've compiled a list of 27 things I love about her, and a few random facts that some of you may not already know. Either way, each are examples and/or characteristics of her personality, and reasons I love her as much as I do...

1. She's a giving person, ALWAYS thinking of others before herself.
2. She's always up for a challenge. If there's a point to be proven-she's the one you want on your team.
3. She makes this cute little facial expression, mainly with her mouth, when she's trying to make a point. I call it the "Kerr Face". Becky's is the cutest, though... sorry Kerrs.
4. She HATES being tickled, yet still laughs when she is.
5. She has the best smile I've ever seen, and has passed that gene on to our children.
6. When we had just barely begun dating she was in a Shakespeare play. During a performance I attended with her family, she came down into the audience and kissed me... in front of everyone, INCLUDING her dad! I was shocked and quite red, to say the least!
7. We had a "crush-at-first-sight" on each other when we first met ( I was 17, she was 14) and wrote each other while I was on my mission. She rode to the airport with my parents (who she barely knew at the time) when I came home, and we dated almost two full years before we were married. It's been 13 years since the name Becky has been a highlight in my vocabulary!
8. She loves her friends; each and every one of you... Good friends make her smile. I don't think she could live without you guys!
9. She's smart. And I don't just mean book smart. I mean in every sense of the word! Our three kids are so luck to have a stay-at-home-mom who can teach them so much.
10. She doesn't sweat the small stuff. She brushes it off her shoulders and moves forward, not looking back at whatever it was that could've bothered her. I need to follow that example a little more.
11. She loves to talk (that, however, may not come as such a shocker to most of you)!
12. She has the softest skin... no, seriously... if it were possible to experience the sense of touching through the TV, she'd be on every lotion commercial!
13. Family is everything to Becky. EVERYTHING... Becky without family is like, ice cream with out cake! Both are good alone, but SO much better together!
14. Becky can hold her own... no matter WHO she's dealing with-so watch out (see #2)
15. She bakes like no other (and thoroughly enjoys it)! Cookies, cakes, brownies, cupcakes, etc. You name it, she can bake it. Her cinnamon rolls are BY FAR my favorite!
16. She's very analytical. You say one thing, and she'll give you 10 different interpretations as to what you meant.
17. She has a very cute laugh and sense of humor that are both quite contagious.
18. She loves fashion, yet her life doesn't revolve around it. She's also a great shopper, whether it be grocery shopping or shopping for clothes for the kids. She always finds great deals-and I am SO grateful for that!
19. She used to say she wouldn't marry until she was in her late 20's.. and when she did, it would be to a man who was in his 40's... weird, SO can't picture that!
20. She is VERY trust-worthy, and consequently the best person to talk to. Besides the fact that a conversation never goes dull with her around, Becky is a great listener, and always has good advise. You can tell her ANYTHING and know that what you mentioned would never be repeated. She makes you feel better, no matter what the problem is. Some days, just hearing her voice over the phone is enough to make me feel better.
21. One of her little pinky toes has been broken hundreds of times! It doesn't take much to break it, and it usually heals just fine-after some time...
22. She always keeps me warm. At night, she's my heating pad... wink, wink...
23. She loves surprises, and will never do anything to spoil the surprise. This comes in handy with me, seeing how I'm not so subtle when it comes to shopping for gifts, or wrapping them!
24. Becky is an "on-time" person. So much so, that every clock in our house is fast, and I don't think any are the same! So... if you ever stay with us, just get used to the clocks-or use your phone (that's what I do)!
25. She's organized, yet not OCD about it.
26. Dessert is her favorite meal (a.k.a. she loves SWEETS)! Rolo's, Peppermint Patties, and TWIX are a few of her favorite candies...
27. Last, but definitely not least, she loves me. And I am THE luckiest man to have her love. The very first time she saw me in sacrament meeting, she leaned over to her mom and whispered, "I'm gonna marry him!" Yes, she was only 14 years old, but she stuck to her word! And my life has been that much better since the day she came into it. She means the world to me, and  I couldn't imagine my life without her sweet smile, laugh, hugs, kisses, or love. She makes me happy, giddy, excited, and complete.

I LOVE YOU, SWEETIE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Kamera Krazy Kids

These aren't the greatest pictures of Dallin, Kailee, or Tylie, by any means, but they are pretty funny. As soon as I pull my camera out, Dallin asks me to take pictures of him doing some kind of pose, Kailee likes to be in the picture, but does NOT ever look at the camera, and Tylie says cheese and does this hilarious face. I love how much they entertain me!!
