Last Tuesday morning the kids and I woke up to a normal day: errands, cleaning, friends, and of course play. But at 9:00am, my mom called to tell me my Grandma had just passed away. All I could think about was how grateful I was that I had just talked to her 2 days before and looked at pictures of her with my kids the night before (which led to my last post). Within 24 hours, the kids and I were on a plane to LA. Despite the reason for being there, it was a good week. My sister from CO and brother from AZ both traveled in with their families. It was wonderful to be together and be there for my Grandpa. The funeral was very nice and many people were there to show my Grandpa their love for he and my Grandma. My Grandpa did very well, considering the circumstances. Of course when the family gets together, it's never dull. This trip was no exception.

Me, Bryan (brother), my Grandpa, Jodie (sister), Kelly (brother)

Dallin, Kailee and their cousin Taylor were left alone in a room for 10 minutes. Checked the room..confetti EVERYWHERE! Took almost 1 1/2 hours to clean.

Grandpa was Tylie's best friend. They played patty cake, peek-a-boo and just smiled and talked to each other. Amazing how much a tiny little person can help someone feel much better.

I'm so sorry to hear of your Grandma's passing Becky...the pictures of her you posted were beautiful. What a great lady.
I'm sorry for your loss too. That's always hard, but so comforting to know that she is in a better place.
As for that confetti - Holy cow! What a mess! Wow!
okay, the confetti picture... hilarious. One comment is so true "Never a dull moment"
Lots of love
Sorry to hear about your Grandma. Glad you guys had some time with her recently. Precious moments, aren't they?
The last picture in your parents kitchen sure brought back memories. :)
Thats so great that you have pictures of your grandparents holding your kids, I have pictures of my grandparents but not really any of them with my kids, now I wish I did. I am glad you got to see family despite the circumstances though.
Hi Becky and Gus! We haven't seen you guys or anyone from St.Anthony is such a long time! Owen Hirschi told us that you have a blog so I did a search on Google and found you guys. Hope you don't mind! (By the way, the post that Google linked me to was the Twilight post for some reason, and so I left a comment under that post at first only to realize it was old, so I'm sorry you will get this message twice!).
Anyway, we're here in Provo so we should get together since we're kind of close! My cell is 636-7579. By the way, I can't believe how cute (and big!) your kids are now!
Gus & Becky! Hey you two . . . so happy to have finally found your blog and see that our name was already on there :) Your kdis are darling and can you believe that our oldest are 5 now!! I can hardly believe it! Glad to see you are all doing so well.

Becky I'm so sorry to hear about your Grandma. However, I am happy to hear that your family could all be together. It unfortunate that tragedies are often times what bring families together.
Becky, I'm sorry to hear that. I looked at your blog about the Grandparents just a couple of weeks ago and would never have thought that this would be your next happenings in life. It probably means a lot to you that you were able to do that just before she died. I hope she got to see it. What a beautiful tribute to her and her life and posterity! Love ya, Chami
So sorry to hear about your Grandmother! But I'm sure spending time with your family and with your grandpa was a great way to remember her...the pictures of her from your last post were so wonderful!
